Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 13, 2025
Who we are: Crickit, LLC, 8 The Green, STE B, Dover, DE 19901, USA
Contact: legal@crickit.ai

This Privacy Policy explains how Crickit, LLC (“Crickit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our marketing website at crickit.ai (the “Website”).

This policy covers only the crickit.ai marketing Website (including contact and waitlist forms). For the Crickit browser extension and related account services, please see our Crickit App Privacy Policy at https://api.crickit.ai/privacy.

1. Information we collect on this Website

1.1 Information you provide to us

We collect information you choose to submit through forms on the Website, including:

  • Contact form: first name, last name, email address, role, and your message (free-text field).

  • Waitlist form: first name, last name, and email address.

We may also receive any other personal information you choose to include in free-text message fields. Please avoid including sensitive information (such as health information, government ID numbers, or financial account numbers) in these fields.

We do not request or require file uploads (e.g., screenshots or documents) on the Website.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, we may automatically collect certain information such as:

  • Device and browser information (e.g., browser type and version, operating system).

  • General usage information (e.g., pages visited, time on page, referring URLs).

We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to help us understand how visitors use the Website. GA4 is configured so that IP addresses are not logged or stored and region-specific controls can be applied.

We do not use automatic collection on the Website to identify you personally without you providing your information directly (for example, through a form).

2. How we use your information

We use the information collected through the Website for the following purposes:

  • Provide and operate the Website

To operate, maintain, and improve the Website, including monitoring performance, fixing errors, and enhancing usability.

  • Respond to inquiries

To receive, review, and respond to messages you send through our contact form or other communication channels.

  • Marketing and communications

To send you newsletters, event or product announcements, and other marketing communications related to Crickit. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the link in our emails or contacting us directly.

  • Analytics and improvement

To analyze usage trends and improve the Website and our services, including through aggregated and de-identified statistics.

  • Legal and compliance

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and enforce our Terms of Service, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Crickit, our users, and others.

We may use de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you for any lawful purpose, such as analyzing Website usage patterns or improving our services.

3. Cookies and analytics

3.1 Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 on the Website to understand usage patterns and improve performance. GA4 uses a combination of cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page.

  • Basic device and browser information.

  • General location information (e.g., country or region).

GA4 is configured so that IP addresses are not logged or stored, and certain settings can be region-specific.

3.2 EU/UK configuration

For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and other regions where cookie rules are stricter:

  • We configure GA4 and related tags to operate in a limited mode so that non-essential storage (such as analytics and advertising cookies) is not used for those visitors.

  • We disable Google Signals and ads personalization for visitors in the EEA and UK through region-based settings.

Because of these controls, analytics in those regions may be more limited or aggregated.

3.3 Outside the EU/UK

For visitors outside the EEA and UK:

  • GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics.

  • We use a 14-month data retention window for GA4 user-level data.

You can manage cookies and other tracking technologies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some Website features may not function optimally, but the core informational content should still be accessible.

4. No sale or targeted advertising from the Website

We do not use data collected via this Website for retargeting or lookalike advertising, and we do not “sell” or “share” personal information (as those terms are defined under California and similar US state privacy laws) based on Website usage.

If our practices change in the future (for example, if we begin using Website data for retargeting or cross-context behavioral advertising), we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, provide appropriate notices and opt-out mechanisms in advance of such changes.

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

When privacy laws like the EU/UK GDPR or Brazil’s LGPD apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request

For example, when you contact us with a request about a potential commercial relationship.

  • Legitimate interests

For example, to operate and improve the Website, provide security, prevent fraud or abuse, and respond to your messages—balanced against your rights and freedoms.

  • Consent

For example, where you sign up for marketing communications (such as a waitlist or newsletter) and applicable law requires consent for these messages.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, including by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us at legal@crickit.ai. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.

6. Retention of information

We retain personal information collected through the Website for the following periods (unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law):

  • Contact-form submissions (including name, email, role, and message): retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction related to that inquiry.

  • Waitlist and marketing records: retained until you unsubscribe, plus up to 24 months of inactivity for administrative and suppression-list purposes.

  • Marketing consent logs: retained for up to 5 years to demonstrate compliance with marketing and consent obligations.

  • Server logs and IP-related logs (e.g., WordPress, hosting, or CDN logs): retained for up to 12 months, primarily for security and troubleshooting.

  • GA4 data: retained at the 14-month setting configured in GA4.

If you request deletion of your personal information, we will do so in accordance with applicable laws and our technical capabilities, subject to data we are required or permitted to retain (e.g., for legal, security, or suppression-list purposes).

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information from the Website with:

  • Service providers and processors

Third-party companies that help us operate and support the Website, such as:

    • Website hosting, security, and content delivery network (CDN) providers.

    • Email or communication tools.

    • Analytics providers, such as Google Analytics 4, for Website usage insights.

These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us, and they are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

  • Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, information collected through the Website may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Legal and compliance

We may disclose information to governmental authorities, law enforcement, or other third parties when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:

    • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;

    • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Crickit, our users, or others;

    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address suspected illegal activity, fraud, or security issues.

We may use and share de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you for any lawful purposes.

8. International data transfers

The Website is operated from the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed primarily in the United States.

When we transfer personal information to third-party service providers, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. These may include:

  • Contractual protections such as standard contractual clauses;

  • The service provider’s participation in an approved data transfer mechanism, where applicable.

By using the Website and providing us with your information, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

9. Your rights and choices

9.1 Rights under EU/UK GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to applicable law:

  • Access to personal information we hold about you.

  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

  • Deletion of certain personal information.

  • Restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

  • Portability of certain personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

  • Objection to certain processing activities, including direct marketing, where applicable.

  • Withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on consent.

We will respond to requests within the time periods required by applicable law, typically within one month (with extensions where permitted).

9.2 Brazil (LGPD) and other regions

If you are located in Brazil or other jurisdictions with similar rights, you may have rights such as:

  • Confirmation that we process your personal information.

  • Access, correction, anonymization, or deletion of certain personal data.

  • Portability, where applicable.

  • Information about entities with whom we share personal data.

9.3 US state privacy laws (including California)

Residents of certain US states (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others) may have rights such as:

  • The right to know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information collected.

  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information.

  • The right to delete certain personal information.

  • The right to obtain information about certain disclosures of personal information.

Because we do not sell or share Website personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, the specific “Do Not Sell or Share” opt-out is not currently applicable for Website data.

We aim to respond to US state privacy requests within 45 days, with extensions where permitted by law.

9.4 How to exercise your rights

You can contact us using:

When you contact us, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding. Where allowed by law, you may also authorize an agent to submit requests on your behalf.

If you are unsatisfied with our response and you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority.

10. Marketing communications

If you join a waitlist or sign up to receive marketing communications from Crickit, we may send you emails about:

  • Product updates and new features;

  • Events, announcements, or research;

  • Other news about Crickit that we believe may interest you.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email or contacting us at legal@crickit.ai. We will honor your request within the timeframe required by applicable law (for example, within 10 business days in the United States, or sooner where required).

We may still send you non-marketing emails that are necessary for Website-related issues or legal notices.

11. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect personal information collected through the Website against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures may include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS (HTTPS);

  • Access controls and least-privilege principles for administrative access;

  • Monitoring for unusual or suspicious activity where feasible.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s privacy

The Website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@crickit.ai.

If you are in a jurisdiction with a higher age of consent for online services (such as 16 in some EU countries), we do not knowingly collect information from users in that jurisdiction who are under the applicable age of consent.

13. “Do Not Track” and global privacy signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature. Because there is no broadly accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, the Website currently does not respond to DNT signals.

Where required by law, we will honor certain global privacy control signals or similar mechanisms for Website data if and when we begin processing it in a way that triggers such obligations (for example, if we were to start selling or sharing personal information from the Website in the future). At present, we do not sell or share Website personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

14. Third-party websites and services

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Crickit. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (such as a prominent notice on the Website or via email, where appropriate).

Your continued use of the Website after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective will signify your acceptance of the revised policy.
